With Chem-Dry's unique cleaning process, using our patented "The Natural®" cleaner, we use only 5% to 10% of the amount of moisture used by steam cleaning processes. Unlike steam cleaning, which can leave the carpet backing wet for days, there is no saturation of the carpet or underlay, and the cleaning solution is removed in the cleaning process, so that carpeting is dry in 1 to 2 hours. Chem-Dry's carpet cleaning is like a deep refreshing sparkling mineral water bath for your carpets, dissolving dirt with it's effervescent bubbles, and  bringing all of the dirt and cleaning solution to the surface to be vacuum extracted and absorbed away from your carpets, leaving them dry, healthy and beautifully clean. Conversely, with steam cleaning, gallons of water are sprayed, at high pressure, pushing dirt deep into the carpet and underlay. A large proportion of the cleaning solution is beyond the reach of vacuum extraction, leaving a lot of dirt and moisture behind. In addition,  soapy detergents used in steam cleaning can be retained in the carpet to dry as sticky residues that cause rapid resoiling. So, Chem-Dry cleaning is certainly CLEANER!
